We’re excited to share that the Wapato School District is offering the new DiscoverWorks youth learning and exploration program this summer! DiscoverWorks is a free, full-day program designed to help students stay active, learning, and engaged during the summer months. Through generous support from Ballmer Group, the program is offered at no cost to families. The first day of the program is Friday, June 26, 2026 and the last day is Friday, July 24, 2026.
The DiscoverWorks Summer Learning Program offers:
- Creative fun – Art, sports, STEM projects, and field trips
- Daily learning – 90-minutes of math and 90-minutes of reading instruction each day with trained teachers to keep skills sharp
- Free meals – Nutritious breakfast and lunch
- Experienced staff – Trained and caring educators who students know and trust
- Free participation – There is no cost to families
- Transportation – We will offer transportation to eligible students. (Specific bus routes and pick-up/drop-off times will be shared with families prior to the start of the program.)
