School Board Receives State Recognition

Congratulations to the Wapato School Board of Directors for being recognized once again as a State “Board of Distinction” by the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA). Board members John Francisco, Sarah Divina, Javier Vela, Lori Garcia and Lorenzo Alvarado were honored for their dedication to providing high-quality learning environments for all students.

WSSDA leadership highlighted the Board’s work on elementary grade-level reconfiguration to strengthen student supports, the expansion of Dual Language and Ichishkiin learning opportunities, and community-driven investments in new learning environments through the new PACE High School, which opened this year, and the new elementary school currently under construction.
