Superintendent's Essay Contest Winners

The District proudly recognized the winners of this year’s Superintendent’s Essay Contest during the regular school board meeting in early May. Superintendent Garza reviewed entries from students across the district and selected eleven winners for their outstanding writing and creativity. This year’s contest featured two writing prompts: students in grades PK–5 responded to, “If your backpack could talk, what would it say about your school day?” while students in grades 6–12 explored the prompt, “How does my school experience help me reach my future dreams?” Six elementary students and five secondary students were selected as winners. They include: Jayden Garza, Adrian Quijencio, Eliseo Balderas, Caleb Solis, Kayli Arevalo, Aliyah Zaragoza, Emalee Contreras, Natalie Alcaraz, Maria Zuniga, Kato Bradley and Angelina Manuel.
