how many students are at Wapato High School I can tell you love our school whether you're a student for a grown up everyone who has attended at the Wapato School remembers a favorite teacher bus driver counselor principal or an important person who has helped us learn for many of us those memories were made while attending either chemist Elam Tri-State is Elementary or the building that now houses the State High School those schools have been used for decades in fact did you know that those three schools come by and have served in Wapato Community for nearly 230 what year did it was built in 1948 and 1952 and the Pace High School building is almost 90 years old it was built in 1936 a lot has changed since then starting with a of modern-day school I mean safety a priority status and lack those safety features also he's passing here it is becoming more and more costly to maintain those old school the challenge of keeping the heaters running during cold weather or trying to find the parts air conditioner operating during hot weather I can tell you it makes it difficult to focus on my studies that's why it's the district is running a bond election in February 24th to invest in Furious like me and future Generations bonds raised money to construct new schools and if Wapato School District voters support the February 2024 Bond the dish replace Camas pancitas elementary schools with one larger Elementary School with enough room to house The District Welcome preschool program Pace High School would also be replaced complete with a gym would be new safer state of the art schools for future generations of students can make their own lasting memory maybe your memories were made in the current walk beside you know that the community supported a bond in 2011 and that made it possible to build a new High School in fact that was the last time the district asked is voters to support Avon the 2024 fund election to replace cam estate is empty will run on February 13th 2024 to learn more about the bond 2024 by visiting www.wap host.
