Wapato Public Schools recognize the valuable contribution made to the total school program through the volunteer assistance of parents and other citizens.  There are a variety of volunteer opportunities.  We encourage our students' families to consider volunteering from time to time as a way to engage with your student's school and the dedicated staff serving your children.  Volunteers can expect that district staff will clearly explain the volunteer's responsibility for supervising students in school, on the playground and on field trips. On field trips both students and volunteers are to be informed of the rules of student behavior and the means by which they are to be held accountable to those rules.  As a way to maintain safety for students & staff and security of district facilities, volunteers are required to complete a "Volunteer Application" (found below).  Volunteers must also pass all required background checks and criminal disclosure tests.
