Please Return Annual Impact Aid Surveys

It is that time of the year again for Wapato Public Schools to update its Title VIII Impact Aid Information.  Title VIII is a grant the District receives from the Federal Government that provides financial support to districts impacted by Federal or Tribal property.  Since Federal and Tribal property are not taxable the government provides the grant in lieu of those property taxes.  In order for the District to access those funds it must document the number of students living on Federal or Tribal Land, the number of parents working on Federal or Tribal land, and the number of students living in low rent housing.

The District gathers the information each year by sending a survey card home with every student.  The dark pink cards should be in homes now.  The District asks families to fill out one card for each student enrolled in Wapato Public Schools on October 1, 2018.  Once the survey card has been filled out for each student in your home, please sign it and have your students return them to his/her teacher by Friday, October 5, 2018.

This grant helps pay for the education of all students in the District so your help in providing this important information is essential.  The cards are used by the District for counting purposes only.  They are never released to any other agencies.
